DFB Driver Inc., a member of the DFB Group carries out construction projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. Safety and Quality are foremost on the minds of our people. We are currently looking to fill the position of Estimating Lead for our Long Harbour or Argentia operations.
Reporting directly to the DFB Driver Operations Manager, the Estimating Lead's responsibilities are listed below.
Duties:
• Deliver timely estimates and proposals for industrial
construction clients.
• Deliver cost breakdowns and other documentation.
• Deliver cost estimates for civil, piping, structural and
mechanical work scopes.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully to clients and
corporate offices.
• Be responsible for the recording of overall project
performance for the duration of the project.
Requirements:
• Experience in industrial estimating.
• Preference to 3-5 years experience with industrial
contractor in estimating.
• Strong PC skills, especially with Microsoft Office
Suite.
• Ability to work with estimating databases such as MC2 an
asset.
• Strong understanding of productivities in various
construction disciplines.
• Ability to contact and work with industrial construction
subtrades.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision.
• Excellent customer service / people skills.
• Strong prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities.
• Clear and professional written, oral and interpersonal
communication skills.
• Motivated with superior communication and time management
abilities.
