DFB Group Logo

Management of DFB Group is vitally interested in their employees' health and safety. Our objective is to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.

DFB Group as the employer is ultimately responsible for the health and safety at the workplace.

I, Glenn Byrne, of DFB Group am personally committed to taking every reasonable precaution for the protection of all the workers and to uphold the requirements under the occupational health and safety legislation. To fulfill this commitment DFB Group will make every effort to provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace by implementing an occupational health and safety program, adhering to acceptable industry standards and complying with occupational health and safety legislation. In keeping with occupational health and safety legislation, a healthy and safe workplace will be accomplished in consultation and cooperation with management and employees, in particular the occupational health and safety committee.

Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of the workers under their supervision. Responsibility includes ensuring that machinery and equipment are safe and that the workplace practices are in compliance with established legislation, work practices and procedures. To protect their health and safety, supervisors and workers must receive adequate specific work task training.

Every worker must protect his/her health and safety, and the health and safety of other workers by working in compliance with legislation and established workplace practices and procedures. All employees, whatever their position, are encouraged to exercise their legal responsibility to report any hazard/substandard condition immediately to the supervisor.  If not resolved to the workers satisfaction report the condition to the safety committee, so that corrective action can be taken.

Health and safety is an integral part of this organization's everyday business. All managers and workers are expected to support and participate in the company health and safety program, and to perform their functions according to our established procedures and training. It is in the best interest of all to join together and put into practice standards as outlined in safe work practices and safe job procedures.

This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis and revised as necessary.
