Safety Philosophy

CEO-CharterAt DFB Group, we understand that our people are our most valuable resources. Safety is not DFB Group's aspiration; it is its fundamental value. We maintain extraordinary safety statistics supported by a system of strict procedures and regulations. Most importantly, DFB Group promotes a safety culture that places considerable value and emphasis on workplace health and safety, embedded from top management to the shop floor.

In 2007, Jerry Byrne, CEO of DFB Group, was one of thirty local business leaders to sign the Workplace Health, Safety & Compensation Commission's (WHSCC) inaugural CEO Leadership Charter. Participation in the CEO Leadership Charter is a visible commitment from business leaders to help shape a safety culture throughout the province. Glenn Byrne, General Manager and COO of DFB Group has carried over this commitment to develop a tradition of "safety first" throughout the organization.

Through communication, leadership, teaching, and shared attitude, employees from the shop level up are confident in providing feedback to our safety program without pointing any fingers or giving any colleagues the blame.
